The students that I service for reading intervention at a public, elementary charter school come from a high poverty area and differing backgrounds. Over half of the students in our district are English Language Learners and 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Due to the challenges that a large portion of the students face, the performance and achievement level of the students usually fall well below grade level. Especially in the subject of Language Arts. I want to provide as many resources and differentiated opportunities through technology to my students to instill positive and hands on learning, which will allow the students to grow and learn in an effective way.
The OSMO will help excite my students students through engaging technology.
The OSMO tools will enhance my students overall reading and writing learning experiences and provide a differentiated way of learning and exploring letters, sounds, and word creation.
The students will be able to use the OSMO during small group instruction to enhance their reading and creative skills. These skills are important in setting and instilling the foundation of life long learners while using technology.
The Osmo will make a difference in my students lives because they will have a tool to learn that will excite them and engage them.
