Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is composed of 30 students in an general education class, with students with IEP and ELL learners. My class is one of the most diverse first graders.

I have the most energetic first graders this year. My class is composed with ten students with disabilities. My students have made great strides in the school year. My students are of African-American and Hispanic descent with 99% of them receiving free or reduced school meals.

Our school is located in a high poverty, industrial neighborhood surrounded by factories and nonstop high traffic. Nevertheless, they are excited about learning and they come to school every day with hope, expectation and enthusiasm.

This project is in desperate need of amazing supporters as yourself. My students are in a desperate need of tools that they do not have in the classroom.

My Project

Students who do the right thing day after day should be rewarded by going to the treasure box. I am requesting your help in developing a student reward center in my classroom. Small rewards or prizes bring such excitement to the eyes of my students.

My students deserve to be rewarded for working hard, and I would like to provide them with these opportunities.

I'm requesting support with student incentives, such as play doh, slime, and putty used to foster positive behavior. Making good choices and being kind to one another is paramount in my classroom. This will help my students learn that they can earn the things they want by doing what they are supposed to do. Student will self-reflect and ask themselves, "Did I use my accountable talk stems, or did I do my best today?" This will create personal challenges for those who make mistakes to create change and foster new behaviors. The ultimate goal for the classroom is to follow classroom rules. The #1 rule is to do their best and show it. We will also use rewards to celebrate all the growth we have made socially and academically.

This project is important because it would give my students something to look forward to when they are doing the right thing daily. This will highlight those who follow rules, being great citizens, and doing their best. Your generous donation will be treasured in our classroom every day!
