My students come from diverse backgrounds. Many of the families I work with have no money to purchase school supplies for their children, so I try to provide as many materials as possible for the classroom. I have many families who are new to the country and speak little English or no English at all. For some students who are new to the country, they have had no formal schooling.
I have students who come from a variety of circumstances.
I have encountered many students who have experienced homelessness and other extenuating circumstances.
My students are very bright and want to learn. My goal is to expose my students to as many hands-on and engaging learning opportunities as possible.
My Project
Please help me give my students magnetic tile words, desk plates, alphabet stickers, and story sequencing puzzles.
These materials will help my students learn their letters and how they work together to make words.
Alphabet stickers are a great resource for our writing area. Students work on a new letter a day, at their own pace.
Desk plates are used for students to learn their names and encourage them to use this resource for letter identification.
Magnetic tiles will be used for my more advanced students who are beginning to build words.
Story sequencing puzzles will help students to retell stories and engage in small group activities.
