My students need forty 100 Write-and-Learn Sight Word Practice Pages book and triangular pencils for our classroom.

"Who are we?" is what I always ask my kindergarten students every day. They always answer with a resounding, "Roaring Tigers!" as they enter my class with smiles on their tiny faces.
Most of our students' and their families were affected by Hurricane Irma's destruction, and now we have started welcoming students displaced by Hurricane Maria.
Because many of them come from homes that were affected by these hurricanes, basic amenities that they need to prosper and succeed, are not always readily available to them.
Even though we have to cater for and adapt to such a diverse range of learning needs, we strongly believe that all children will learn if given the right tools and technology. As their first-grade reading, writing and language arts teacher, my main objective is to enhance and improve their young learning experiences, especially when it pertains to their learning environment.
I teach first-grade at a Headstart through 5th-grade school in North Miami. Most of my students are high-poverty and have limited resources at home.
For most of our students, basic school supplies are a luxury that they do not have at home.
After the hurricanes, the financial situation for most of our students became even worse than before. Most students are still facing the challenges of coming to school with pencils and paper. Most do not even have computer access at home.
The most unfortunate part was that after Hurricanes Irma and Maria struck, most students came back with fewer supplies and less access to the tools they need to be successful.
I am requesting 100 writing practice workbooks, pencils and a sharpener, which will be used for writing activities. My students now need to be able to learn how to write and most importantly, express themselves in writing.
Currently, my classroom is very limited in terms of writing materials and utensils. Every day, I have to provide pencils and paper to unfortunate students who have none. Your support would ensure that all students have the materials they need throughout the school year.
