My students are awesome! I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in both special education and regular education. My main subject is ELA, and I teach both resource special education and inclusion (with a regular education teacher), but I teach study skills and a Journeys to Careers class as well.
Our school district in Louisiana suffered a catastrophic flood on what would have been our 7th day of school.
Our students and their families have lost most, if not all of their belongings, including their brand spankin' new school supplies. When we return to school, I want my students to feel safe, at home, and like time never stopped for them. Help me help them get back to a new normal!
My Project
The Wacom tablet, connected to the teacher computer, will help me stay mobile throughout my classroom while teaching with technology. My students are also of age to be able to use the tools as well, which trains them to explain their processes and "be the teacher!" Amazon Fire tablets will give my kids the opportunity to work on their own using apps, conduct research online, and be responsible with materials like good citizens.
Technology is the driving force of our lives today.
Help my students learn through updated technology that would be otherwise unaffordable! Thank you for considering my students in your donation.
