My students need a new classroom carpet that will provide a space for whole group instruction, a reading area, and a space for learning center activities.

I have a diverse class of 25 enthusiastic kindergarteners. I enjoy teaching my students and am always amazed to see their social/academic growth throughout the school year! Most of my students speak English as a second language. In addition, our school has an AdvancED STEM Certification. This means that in addition to our rigorous curriculum, teachers provide students with opportunities to become engineers and solve real-world problems in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. My students always look forward to our STEM projects! This sets a great foundation for their educational future.
I teach a diverse group of 25 wonderful kindergarteners! I am requesting a new carpet for the classroom. In a kindergarten classroom, carpet time is an important component in the classroom. Activities such as story time, sing alongs, calendar time, independent reading, and brain breaks happen on our classroom carpet. This space is also used for our learning centers where students can complete their small group activities away from their desks. Our classroom carpet is very old and worn. I wish for my students to have a nice “Magic Carpet”’where lots of learning takes place. Unfortunately, our school does not have the funds to supply me with a new one. Thanks!!
