Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are quite special. They come from various Black, Asian and Latino backgrounds. My school is a Title I, and most of my students come from low-income humble homes, and unfortunately all of their supplies and materials do not come easy.

I set high standards for the students in my class, I demand that they try their best, while instilling in them that circumstances do not make you, and hard work promotes success, no matter where you are from.

My Project

Students will be able to use the dictionaries to determine the meaning of new words and phrases, along with understanding connotation, parts of speech, multiple meanings, and the correct usage in a sentence.

Having new dictionaries would allow the students to expand their vocabulary, understand and learn the meanings of new words.

By having a class set of new dictionaries students would not feel the burden of not being able to complete their assignment, they would now have the ability to check out a dictionary for their homework. With dictionaries at their disposal their goals have become attainable, stimulating success.
