This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students love to be engaged in learning experiences that relate to real life. They will be global communicators as technology enables the workforce of the future to be from all over the world. They are currently learning from home via Google Meets and Google Classroom due to COVID 19.
Students need relevant learning experiences and instruction as we navigate distance learning in order to become successful and empathetic citizens of the future.
Our students need the proper tools to inspire collaboration and strengthen skills especially in this time of distant learning. We are in a high poverty area and lack the funds to provide the needed materials.
My Project
COVID-19 has resulted in students and teachers having to adapt quickly. We are now having class time utilizing Google Classroom and Google Meets. A Wacom tablet will help in math instruction by allowing the students to see the math modeled in real time.
Wacom tablets can be a perfect tool to write on PDFs and web pages, and they are helpful when handwriting is needed to communicate steps and solutions.
The Wacom tablet will enhance my students' learning of mathematics through the visual aid that it provides. We can work a problem out together step by step, allowing for questions and meaningful discussion.
