My Students

Do you remember the first time you went to school? I bet if you were 4 years old, you would say that there were lots of fun things to "play"! Well, that is what we do! We learn by "playing"!

I have a very diverse class.

My kids come from all parts of the country. Some of them are ESL and some will be identified later as Gifted and Talented. For the most part, they are curious, hard-working kids who are thirsty to learn more! Having the 2 iPads I am requesting to manipulate will be the key ingredient in bringing their learning to life!

My Project

Having iPad stations in my classroom would allow multiple experiences for children to learn at different levels. Using "Apps", my class will be able to practice and learn specific skills that have previously been taught in class. Since not all kids learn at the same rate, some of the games will help reinforce skills, but also build onto the skills to promote a differentiated approach to learning. By the end of the year, they will also be able to use specific "Apps" to create multimedia productions.

Because my kids are at a very impressionable age, they are constantly wanting to learn more about the world around them.

To help prepare them for Kindergarten, having these types of opportunities, where they play educational games, will not only help motivate them to read, write but will also provide them the technology to be self-determined learners.
