Our students are very enthusiastic learners. They all have a variety of learning styles. This year our school has become one to one with technology. We have found many educational programs that would greatly benefit our students but they come with a extreme cost . Our students have been able to watch a few Flocabulary videos and have truly loved them. They explain the skill in a way that any level of learning can understand it and explains in a way that captures their attention. Also, having this program students will be able to use it at home while completing their homework, help parents in explaining a concept or skill.
Living in a rural community, many of our students do not have the opportunities or resources that other students do.
We are a Title One School and the money that we are allocated goes towards getting technology devices, paying teacher salaries, getting classroom materials that are not already part of the budget. Having technology apps or programs are not allocated into our budget. With community help we would be able to offer students different types of educational programs that would not take away from other
My Project
Our fourth grade consist of 8 and 9 year old students on various levels of learning. Because each student is unique, my students learn differently. Some of my students are social learners, some are kinesthetic learners, and some are inquisitive, technology motivated. Having the Flocabulary program as an educational resource will allow the students a different way of learning new skills or concepts in another educational way. The program will be used at school for introducing a concept or to review a concept.
Having this program will not only benefit students while at school but can also benefit them at home because they will be able to use this program at home while doing homework or they are out sick they can go on and do what they missed in class that day.
