Help me give my students awesome hands-on learning tools for mathematics, writing, reading and management tools. This will support their learning as they are special education students who need this type of support.
Our students are simply AMAZING! They all have special needs of some type and face life with many challenges and struggles that many of us would take for granted. We have students that struggle to walk, struggle to express their wants and feelings, and require a bit more time to grasp basic concepts. But that does not deter them. They continue to persevere until they get it. Our students are kind, loving, and excited to spend time together. They light up with every part of their being when they are happy or accomplish a task. They work hard to learn and practice their skills and lessons. They inspire us to keep going and do our best. They remind us that life is a wonderful adventure to be a part of. We love working with our students everyday.

Learning needs to be exciting!!
I really like to provide my students with materials and objects to support their learning and make it exciting and engaging.
With the resources from the Lakeshore learning center - the math, literacy and writing games. I will be able to gain a library of interactive and hands-on games for my students to interact with. Working with special needs students in 4th, 5th and 6th grade I will be able to enhance the students learning with the learning games that I could get through this grant. Students will work in centers with the resources. When we work in our reading and math centers we can utilize the learning games in small groupsI would be able to use the Math Folder Games and Hands-on regrouping kit at a math center with my students teaching them many math skills. With the Touch and Read Phonics Match game and learning letter activity the students could manipulate the materials and get really engaged with the games. Using all the resources on the list from Lakeshore the students can get engaged and get the learning time they crave. Students will really enjoy the learning materials and games it will make the learning exciting and fun!
