“I can read!” These words are so wonderful to hear coming out of a young readers mouth. Teaching Kindergarten is such a wonderful experience. They are eager to learn and light up when they are able to read independently. We are a small school and we need some extra resources that are not provided by the state or our wonderful school. These children are truly gifted with great personalities and are truly motivated to work. We may be a little school, but we have big hearts. My students are our future; lets make it a bright one!
My Project
Literacy opens our kid’s minds and more opportunities for their future. Our students will use these materials to discover their ability to read and write. They will use books to help them read and comprehend through our Accelerated Reader program. The games will help them learn through play during their Learning Center times during the day. These games will teach my students’ social skills, comprehension skills, and basic phonics skills. Engaging my students with hands-on learning materials, helps them better understand new skills that are introduced. Using a felt board with the felt stories, will improve my student’s comprehension abilities.
I am blessed to be a Kindergarten teacher because I am able to see their young minds grow at such a young age.
I feel like it’s my responsibility to set how the rest of their “school life” will be like. Making my classroom a fun, loving, and educational place for my students is my ultimate goal. You generous donation to my project will improve my students’ reading and writing skills. Being able to gift them with the ability to read, is the biggest accomplishment you could provide. Thank you for your time!
