My Project

My school is in a urban setting. These students come from the city of Buffalo and surrounding areas. I am beginning on a new adventure by joining this classroom. I have been a teacher for several years and moving into this amazing school.

I want to make a classroom library that not only has books of interest, but to also provide books that the little readers can independently read.

It is important to provide reading for fun so that you can grasp the readers interest. There also needs to be a balance of books geared towards their level of reading as to not cause frustration.

I have many special interest reading material, but I need to expand my leveled library. This is where I am asking for help. First providing a clear and organized space is goal number one. Then I also need to provide a diverse library of books for the range of levels.

I hope to establish a love for reading for this group of little learners and for the students in my care for years to come.
