Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This class has taken over my heart! They are overall eager to learn and push themselves harder every day. Their families have all experienced hardships and the students know how to improve their own future by working hard today.
They lead me in their education and show me which paths they need to take.
Their vibrant personalities, creative minds, and perseverance make every day uniquely special. My students especially love science because of the flexibility we have in our curriculum. They would become ecstatic if they got the opportunity to have more hands-on experiences during our science time!
My Project
My students' favorite subject this year is science! Living in Utah, they have a wide variety of earth science to learn! They have no science materials provided other than textbooks. I have attended workshops to get more resources for them, but still the supplies are limited.
My students would love to learn from hands-on experiences with real experiment materials and simulations!
The fossils and rocks kits, weather kit, and lab supplies would help to give them the science EXPERIENCE they want and need!
