My 25 kindergartners are the reason I love going to work every day. They are inquisitive, caring, and hard workers. They come in ready to learn, not only academics but valuable lifelong social skills.
My students engage in many activities throughout the day in my classroom.
My students seem to learn best when we are doing theme-based learning that integrates play and hands-on learning. Each student learns best in different ways so having a range of stations and materials in my room helps me meet all my students' needs.
My Project
My kindergarten students need to not only learn important academic skills in kindergarten but also how to get along with others. They can learn to play cooperatively while building with LEGO Duplo's together. My students will need to be able to follow simple directions and play cooperatively while playing the tree stacking game and Hi Ho Cherry-O.
Learning becomes hands-on and fun while they are looking for grocery's at the pretend grocery store for grocery's that start with letters in their names!
Using the Alphabet pocket chart is a great way to match up letters with beginning sounds. Each of these materials will help my students during their year in my kindergarten classroom.
