This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach a diverse group of students with many different academic levels, backgrounds, and experiences. Each student learns in different ways and at different times. They love to help each other. All of them want to learn but for some, it is more of a struggle than for others. Even though learning can be difficult for some, they come in with a can-do attitude and give it their best. I am always looking for ways to make changes to help each one of them.
My Project
These awesome materials will allow for my students to have a more hands-on learning experience, which will motivate their learning. Students learn in all different ways. Some really need the hands-on experience. I only get the small bottles of paint purchased at school and this paint only lasts for so long. With the big bottles of paint, we can continue to use painting as a fun way to learn. All students love to use manipulatives to engage their learning experience. With these other supplies, they can do just that. Students who are able to use hands-on learning are more engaged and motivated to learn. This will allow those students who need differentiated learning to be more successful.
