My students are bright and caring kindergarteners. They are highly motivated to learn especially when they get to use technology.
My students are technology driven learners who need the opportunity to work with new technology, like iPads.
My school is a Title I school and many of the students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Many of my students come from low-income homes and may not always have the resources at home to use technology to help them learn.
My Project
My students will use the 2 iPads in many different ways. Everything from Math, Literacy, Sight Words, oh the list could go on and on. More specifically though, during literacy stations (when we work on reading, writing, and word work) my students will be able to get on a many websites that my school district provides to help them with foundational reading skills (letters, letters sounds, and reading ebooks). My students will also get the opportunity to use this during math stations to play the many awesome math games that our curriculum provides. The possibilities are endless with these devices.
These iPads will allow my students to learn through out the year.
They will not out grow them. At the beginning of the year, the iPads will help them with foundational reading and math skills. By the end of the year they will be reading ebooks on their own and practicing math facts. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my project!
