My Students
I work in an area of extremely high poverty with free lunch and breakfast for all of the students in my school.
I have a large group of kindergartners who are ready to blossom as readers, writers, and mathematicians.
School is a fun and safe place for my students, and it is my job to make sure they want to come to my class and that they have what they need to be successful. I need to make sure my students are safe.
My students never fail to amaze me. They rise to any and all challenges they are faced with and teach me new things each and every day.
My Project
This year is like no other and I have had to recreate my station time to allow distance and work to be done at individual spaces. My math and literacy stations have had to change so that my students are doing games on their own to learn letters, phonemic awareness, math, and reading skills.
My students need hands on games in order to learn, have fun, and be safe.
This Teachers Pay Teachers gift card would allow me to create hands on learning games that could stay in each students bin and they can play these games to have fun as they learn. My other stations were a lot of partner games or group games so this will allow me to find fun activities to encourage learning. Your help with a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card would mean so much to my classroom.
My online learners also need books to read while at home. This will help me to find books that I will be able to print and send home for them to work on sight words and beginning reading skills.
