I teach at a charter school in an urban neighborhood in New Jersey. My students come from the surrounding towns and are excited to learn new things. I want to make my classroom as comfortable and welcoming as possible for them.
My second grade classroom is a room full of energy and discovery!
The families in my class donate as much as they can to my classroom, and it is appreciated more than they know. I love going out to shop for new and exciting items to bring into my classroom, but I find myself constantly spending my own money! I want to make my classroom the best I possibly can for my students!
Over the past two years, I have seen what a difference flexible seating makes with some students. Having the chance to move around during the day and sit in a comfy spot makes all the difference!
Who wants to be stuck at a desk all day?
My students love moving around and having the opportunity to lay on pillows or sit on couches to complete their work.
Some of the resources that I have chosen, like the couches, rocker chairs, and bean bags will greatly impact my students' learning this year! They will be even more excited to learn new things!
