My students need these materials during Literacy and Math center time. These materials will give them time for individual practice as well as cooperative learning time on skills taught in the classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is in a Title One school and contains students from different countries. Many students are English language learners and some are Special Needs students. For some students, this is the first time in a classroom. My students need time to talk with others throughout the day.
All of my students are eager and ready to learn!
My students learn best given time to practice on skills independently or working with others. Sometimes the best teacher for a student is another student.
My Project
The materials in my project will give my students a variety of opportunities to practice on skills taught in the classroom. Students will use headphones to work independently on Chromebooks during Reading and Math. They can practice independently or in small groups on sight words with sight word puzzles. They will use two-sided counters to practice counting and decomposing numbers in Math.
Center time is a fun time to work with others to practice on skills and learn to cooperate.
The project will give my students materials to practice skills on their own or time to work with others to master a skill or to communicate and cooperate with others when working on floor puzzles together.
