My students need a variety of electronic learning toys such as VTech Tablets, LeapFrog Tablets, and other electronic learning toys to encourage their enthusiasm in technology and essential math and reading skills concurrently.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My Students are Kindergarten through sixth grade students and have a variety of special needs. They are all on first grade and second grade reading levels of learning. They come from different economic backgrounds and come into my classroom with many life experiences.
My students are sweet, gifted, and affectionate.
Each one of them is unique in their own special way. My students deserve the best and with your wonderful help, I really want to be able to give it to them.
My Project
As a Special Education Educator, I will always do whatever it takes to give many learning opportunities and materials to enhance my students' learning experience in school. Students who use technology at an early age are more ready to take on the world and its demands.
The materials in this project will help my special needs students gain better communication skills, vocabulary, fine motor skills, and help build up their confidence in their abilities.
Through these fun varieties of technology, my students will learn letters, writing, colors, and shapes. The LeapFrog Alphabet Bus, VTech Paw Patrol Treat Time Marshall, VTech Write and Learn Creative Center, VTech Lil' Smart Top, VTech Tote and Go Laptop, and the VTech Touch and Teach Word Book will help my students learn letters and letter sounds through songs and different activities while developing fine motor skills. The LeapFrog Mr. Pencil's Scribble and Write, LeapFrog Count Along Cash Register, and the Boxikids Magnetic Drawing Pad will help my students learn numbers and counting. The Magnetic Drawing Board will help my students improve on writing their name.
Learning through technology will enhance my students learning and guide them towards a successful school experience and future. I am very excited to see their growth and the huge difference these learning resources will make in our classroom.
