My Students

How can you understand how electricity works if you can't build circuits?

My students attend a public school in Utah.

They are a very curious group of students and love learning. They enjoy learning by doing and exploring. They are a very active group of kids and learn best by experimenting. Their love and understanding of all subjects grows and flourishes by trying things.

My Project

Science is something that most students love because they get to explore and experiment. Electricity is one of their favorite topics because the results of their experiments are immediate. My desire is that all of my students are able to build a circuit. Building the circuits will enable them to understand the process of current electricity and see that a switch can break that circuit. They also will be able to experiment with batteries and the amount of energy provided to the light bulb to help them understand that the more energy in a circuit, the brighter the light.

Please help my students learn the benefits of electricity!

The supplies I requested will help them understand how to build a circuit, the parts of a circuit, and the different types of circuits. They will also learn the basics of electricity, electrical safety, and come to understand the benefits and concepts of electricity.
