My students are an amazing group of young children. They are enrolled in Head Start Preschool ranging from ages 3-5.
Head Start serves low income/high-risk children.
Head Start is free for those who attend and is funded through grants and government funding. We have students who are in foster/adoptive care, single-parent households, kinship care, and some who are from different countries around the world.
As a teacher in a low-income/urban area, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! For example, the beginners hammering kit, and I can build it play set will be used in our math center to help my students work on their fine motor skills. The baskets will provide a place for these new toys to live in. The ice cream sand set will provide my students with toys they can actually use in our sensory table. Please help in giving my students what they deserve.
