My Students

I work with many children on the autism spectrum. The students in my classroom learn differently and require different teaching strategies. Some require visuals, others need manipulatives, while many enjoy hands-on learning! All my students use visual schedules, first-then boards, and interactive learning boards that go along with activities. I also create adaptive books that go along with lessons. All of these materials in my classroom are teacher-made—all to help my students!

I am one lucky teacher to be able to teach such an incredible group of students!

I know this is going to be an exciting year filled with lots of learning and fun!

My Project

My students tend to struggle when it comes to learning more abstract concepts such as science and social studies. They tend to learn best when using interactive and engaging materials! Why not bring science and social studies to life! I can do this by providing them with hands on resources, which I know they will love! My students would be able to use the materials to enhance and support their learning! They would be able to work both independently or in a small group using the social studies mini readers. There are endless possibilities these materials would provide for my students!
