Learning in Motion
My students need two Hokki stools so they can move about comfortably while increasing their brain activity.
Do you remember how uncomfortable it was sitting in a plastic chair for eight hours? My students love to wiggle, and would benefit from Hokki stools. These stools will allow my students to move about while still sitting and staying focused on the lesson.
My fifth grade students are eager, ambitious, and love to explore the world around them, but lack the tools to help them succeed in their goals.
I work at a Title I school where many of my students come from diverse backgrounds and don't get to experience the same opportunities as other children their age.
Some of the issues they deal with outside of school cause them to have pent up energy in the classroom. The two Hokki stools I have requested will give my students the opportunity to channel their energy in a positive way and improve their brain activity, all while still staying focused!
My kids are very interactive and have lots of energy, especially when sitting at their desks or at a table for small groups. Many of them love to move all about, stand up and down, or rock back and forth.
While this works for the individual, it does not always work for those around them. The Hokki stools are designed so students can adjust and move to their heart's content without themselves or other students loosing focus. These stools would be extremely beneficial for our classroom! They would take one more stressor off of my students' shoulders, and allow them to learn and express themselves in a comfortable and inviting environment.
Research shows that kids age 11-15 cannot sit still for more than fifteen minutes, but with the Hokki stools they will be able to sit and stay focused while still moving.
These stools will also increase my students' brain activity and improve their well-being and posture (in addition to being comfortable). All of that from one little stool! Sign us up for two please!
