Education is enhanced through color! I hope to give my students more color in our classroom.
I have 21-2nd grade students.
They come from a variety of backgrounds. However, a large majority of them are living in poverty. Our school is a large elementary school in an urban area. My students come from difficult situations, but almost always excited to be at school and learning. They love when I "challenge" them, and I love that I can provide them with that safe and structured environment in which to learn.
My Project
I am asking for a color printer and ink. This is because we are not able to make color copies at our school. Because of the poverty in our students, the school provides all materials for the students and they are asked to donate nothing. Thus, the money does not go far. Black and white copies are very limited, and color copies are not allowed at all. I would love to have the opportunity to print things in color to enhance learning. I also hope to be able to print materials for students and parents too. I envision students being able to have colorful materials to learn from, and also print in color to enhance projects in writing and reading. In addition, I would print materials for parents in color, increasing the likelihood of parents receiving my communication.
This donation would help my classroom be more colorful and exciting.
It would change the students' lives through allowing them to see more materials and color, and to also have materials to take home which are in color too.
