My students are phenomenal! All of my students have various learning needs, behavioral needs, and emotional needs. In my class, they learn grammar, reading, writing, and anything that encompasses language arts.
My students are full of personality and are always striving to grow and learn more about themselves and the world around them.
It is a joy to teach all 20 of them. As students who go to a Title I school - and a predominantly ESL school - life isn't as easy as it is for others. Economic and language barriers want to hold them back. However, these kids are learning to fight for their education, and I am honored to be a part of their growth.
My Project
Our school does not provide teachers with color printing. In our classroom, color printing is essential for creating an excellent learning environment. Printing in black and white prohibits us from color coding, creating communication boards, and producing resources that are specific to a child's needs.
In other classrooms, color printing isn't as much of a concern; however, in a Special Education classroom, being able to use color printing can make resources and content that much more effective for students with various learning and behavioral disabilities and needs.
The printer we selected will be used by all 3 teachers in the Special Education department. We're always in need of specialized educational and behavioral resources for all of our students.
Having the card stock and regular printing paper on hand will help tremendously in our classroom as we are constantly creating new resources and educational tools for the students in all rooms of the Special Education department. The printer that we picked out will be accessible by the 3 Special Education teachers on our hallway. That way, we all have a printer that is near us that can print out the materials we need when we need them.
