My Students
My students are autistic and have severe learning difficulties. Most of their learning is done by using technology and hands on activities to help relieve their anxiety. They enjoy doing most of their work on their iPad. My students are hands on learners and enjoy staying busy while having fun.
We are located in a high poverty area.
My students are from different grade levels from Kindergarten to fifth grade. Every day is a different day and full of surprises with my students.
My Project
Allowing my students to have flexible seating is very important for their learning environment. The cushion chair and the seat cushions will give them different options to be able to move or get comfortable to complete their tasks.
My students are hands on learners.
Using the play foam to create letters and numbers will help them in learn how to write the letters and shapes they are working on. The tangram shape will be a great fidget toy that they can pick up and play with while completing their work. Sometimes they need something to keep their hands busy while they are thinking or working hard. The Tech Tub will be extremely useful for their iPads to be locked up at the end of the day and keep them safe.
