Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kindergarten students are lively, fun, curious children who enjoy listening to stories, asking questions, playing, moving their bodies, and working with their hands.
They each have their own unique personalities, strengths and areas for growth.
Kindergarten has changed over the years and many academic demands have been placed on these little ones, but they rise to the challenge each and every day.
Please help us to acquire digital subscriptions and handwriting materials to supplement our curriculum programs and enliven our school day.
My Project
I would like to provide my students with resources to support handwriting, literacy and math.
This is our first year using the Handwriting Without Tears program.
The program has a new Handwriting Interactive Teaching Tool (HITT) which is a digital teaching platform for presenting handwriting instruction from electronic student workbooks. The HITT also includes a teacher’s guide and the following multimedia options for teaching for each lesson: digital letter and number formations, animations, music, and instructional videos. The workbooks will be used by the students to practice letter formation.
Our subscription to Super Teacher Worksheets will provide additional literacy and math practice pages for each student based on the individual level and need. The ink will be used to print student handouts.
