Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 22 fun, caring, loving, and eager to learn kindergarteners. My students approach each day with a positive mindset. Every student is unique but each of them share the same motivation to learn.
I work in a region where many students are living at the poverty level; many do not have the at home supports available to them.
My school is identified as an at-risk campus. The majority of the students who attend school have English as a Second Language and require further support to aid in their language and academic development.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting will have a great impact on my students' learning. My students have a great passion for reading, having this comfortable seating area in the classroom, including a love seat, will further enhance their love of reading. My students will no longer have to sit on the uncomfortable floor when they are reading books.
The bookshelf will also be a great piece of furniture to have in my classroom.
The bookshelf will help keep our classroom library organized and my students will have a clear view of the selection of books they may choose from.
Having the comfortable seating and a bookshelf will help my classroom have a well-defined library area that will make my students want to continue reading on a daily basis.
