This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is 3-4 mixed age preschool/prekindergarten inclusion with full of inquisitive scholars! They are purely and naturally curious, passionate, and ready to learn.
My elementary school is Title I school in Washington, DC with more than 70% students eligible for Free And Reduced Meals (FARM).
Many of our students have limited access to learning environments. Due to a full range of exposure to learning and students' unique learning styles, differentiated teaching is extensively used in our classrooms. Our students are a group of fun and amazing scholars ready for challenges!
My Project
My students are composed of wide variety of skills. Because my class is inclusion class, we have students with severe disabilities who requires different types of toys that can support their learning. Toys I'm asking for can seem very basic for the age but it can be useful for all of my students.
Children learn best through play.
We have limited resources and variety of toys that can support wide range of students. Sensory toys are for students who can benefit from added sensory to their learning. Sorting toys are also great addition to sorting toys we have already since we have limited amount.
Toys that I'm asking for can help students to build foundational cognitive and fine motor skills that are required for further development. These toys will definitely be great addition to our classroom. We need your support!
