Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kiddos live in a high poverty area. My school is a Title I school. Everyday is a struggle for some, more than others. Giving them the opportunity to do hands on science projects lets our tactile learners excel.

A love for technology is something that can grow into something wonderful and is rarely forgotten.

My goal for my classroom is to create a break from everyday bookwork and worksheets. When we do stations, they get so excited because we get to move around the room while learning.

My Project

My kids love using technology and Kindles are so very kid friendly. Even though my kids are so young, learning how to navigate the internet can be trying for a first grader. I want them to feel confident as they learn using reading and vocabulary apps.

I want to give them the opportunity to learn how to research properly and safely while learning new information being researched.

Kindles can be used in so many different ways! My little ones can practice vocabulary, sight words, math facts, learn new science content and of course, read books!

Any and all help for my class would be greatly appreciated.
