My students need a Listening Center in order for them to appreciate stories for literacy development. Touch and Read vowel and consonant sounds are also materials they can use to learn how to develop pre-reading skills.
My preschool students are between the ages of 3 to 4.5 year olds. They all engage in meaningful play in the classroom, and they all exhibit excitement as they discover their own learning.
My students are young awesome learners!
They all have varying strengths and needs ranging from mild to severe. Some of their strengths include visual/spatial talents, diverse language and communication expression, artistic thinking and great motor skills!
More than half of my students are qualified for free and reduced lunch.
My Project
My students need the dinosaur, alphabet and sea life puzzles, blocks, and listening center. These materials would potentially help in developing their critical thinking skills . These classroom materials also provide them with hands-on experiences in order to build an integrated brain. It is important for them to develop reading and other important academic readiness skills in preschool.
My students also need to experience multi-sensory materials outdoors to engage their body and mind with balance and coordination.
The catch-a-ball set, textured blocks and paint sets will provide those rich experiences.
My students are all in their first five years of life. It is critical to take advantage of the plasticity of their brains so that they can succeed in school.
