This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching a combination kindergarten and first grade class means that maintaining a high level of student interest and engagement throughout the instructional day is my top priority. Some students may enjoy the opportunity to be called to the whiteboard to share their responses for all to see, while other students may feel intimidated by the height of the whiteboard or having to stand on a stool to access the whiteboard.

This project will provide height adjustable boards for students to use that will ultimately increase their level of student participation in all lessons without the fear of being challenged by the tall whiteboards that are standard height in most classrooms today.

Dry erase, magnetic boards that are sized for younger elementary age children will encourage student participation and engagement.

By donating to our project, you are not only providing our classroom with moveable dry erase boards that are adjustable to students' height, but you are also providing tools to nurture the opportunity for increased student engagement in their learning.

Students will be able to confidently approach the magnetic, height-adjustable, dry erase boards when called to share their responses. The movable height-adjustable, dry erase boards will provide my students with ample opportunities to be highly active and engaged participants in their learning, thereby increasing their academic achievement.
