My students need math materials, Time Bingo, plastic coins, binders and other instructional resources to help us prepare for the common core assessments.
What is the common core? Why do I need to chart my data and what am I learning? Together, with your help, my students will be able to answer all of those questions.
My students are very eager to learn and love trying new things while exploring their environment.
We are a full class of 25 students ready, willing and able to learn. Our school is a wonderful place to work with dedicated teachers and staff. We do not have additional funds to purchase materials necessary to practice in answering the types of questions used in standardized tests.
My Project
The binders and pocket chart will be used as an academic tool to house all student conference notes, learning goal work, and assessments. Having these all centrally located will allow each student to take an active role in their academic progress. The math materials will help my students practice their math skills using hands-on activities.
My students have never had a teacher emphasize organization as a way to help them improve academically, which is exactly what I would like to impress upon them.
I feel organization is the stepping stone for a better work ethic and understanding, which are things that will follow my students throughout the rest of their lives.
