This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher in a low income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with many challenges. Despite these challenges my students thrive and grow in the classroom. They love to learn. They have curious minds always wanting to know more about the world.
Even though my students face many challenges due to difficult situations and high poverty, they find great joy in the classroom when use their hands to learn and explore.
From the minute they walk into the door of my classroom, I focus on helping them to find joy through classroom games and activities that make learning fun.
My Project
My class is full of little curious minds that want to explore and learn the world. I want to make learning fun for my students. My class needs age appropriate learning games that will help engage and motivate students to learn their basic math and reading skills. Students need to practice their numbers and letters sounds.
They need to practice rhyming words, counting, adding etc.
The language learning centers and play doh mats will help my students learn reading and math skills. They can explore and learn on thier own or in a group. Playing with the Building a Letter kit will help them learn basic writing skills. Please help my students learn crucial skills through fun games and materials
