Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I currently have 41 students in my math, science, and social studies classes. There are 21 students in mt first period class and 20 in the second period. My students are fantastic and possess a passion for technology, reading, writing, science, math, and social studies. They are eager and excited about learning, and I want to make the class interactive and fun.

My classroom is a diverse group of children who come from intricate family backgrounds.

Our school is located in an area very close in vicinity to two homeless shelters for families. They are upstart programs where students and their families receive help to find permanent housing. I teach at a low-income school, however, my classroom full is running over with eager learners who are enthusiastic about coming to school every day despite their economic challenges!

This iPad will allow students to create exciting new interactive content that will be shared within the classroom across the curriculum. The new technology will expand their exposure and possibilities. Our current technology is dated and does not meet the current standards for system requirements leaving our classroom extremely limited.
