Learning Full STEAM Ahead with Math, Science & Writing

Help me give my students more math manipulatives for hands-on learning, Jennifer Serravallo's Go-To Books for Writing, and some interesting science books for those curious minds.

My Project

My students love to read, learn about science, and work with their hands! They also love to tell stories! They are learning to write the stories down for others to read and enjoy.

For this project, I want to add additional math manipulatives to provide extra hands-on learning for geometry and measurement, incorporate Jennifer Serravallo's Go-To Books for Writing into my grammar/writing lessons, and provide more interesting science books for my students to enjoy.

The additional math manipulatives will make the 3D shapes and 3D nets of the shapes more tangible for my students. Being able to see, touch, and manipulate the shapes/nets will help them to understand the concept of geometric shapes. Having the tools to measure and see the measurements will help my students understand the types and differences of measurement.

The Go-To Writing Books will be a great addition to my reading library and writing curriculum. The stories will be enjoyable and great modeling tools for teaching grammar/writing skills to my students.

The Magic School Bus books will be a great addition to our library. The students always enjoy reading or watching The Magic School Bus. There is personality, humor, fear, excitement, and scientific information all within each story. Most kids enjoy and learn from The Magic School Bus lessons.

This project will reach so many facets of learning for my students: Math, Science, Reading & Writing. Please help me to make this project a reality. Thank you for being a supporter of education!
