Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have a student that doesn't have access to a working computer or tablet at home. He has been struggling to complete his assignments. He has two siblings in the same situation. They have no access to a computer or tablet and our school has been closed since March and they really miss coming to school.

My Project

I have a student in my class that doesn't have access to working technology. My student needs a tablet to use so that they can continue to learn from afar. My school has been closed since March and some students still don't have access to technology. This one student hasn't participated in any lesson due to not having a working device. My student will use the tablet to access all of our online platforms and to complete their online work.

My student hasn't been engaged in lessons while we have been closed due to not having a device.

This device will be used before and after this pandemic. This tablet will allow my student to get help with the various assignments that they have questions about. The Apple Pencil will allow them to take notes on the tablet while in class or while studying. The lap desk will give them the feel that they are in school. It will be used as a small desk for them to use daily. This will allow them to continue to learn and not to lose any moment of valuable instruction.
