Help me give my students a higher quality video lesson. This document camera has everything I need to record a lesson for my students, no additional software needed!
My school is currently participating in distance learning for the remainder of the school year. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, my new classroom space is Google Classroom. Each of my scholars is assigned daily tasks for each subject and there is a conversation stream for me to communicate with them in written chat.
Due to restrictive schedules, the student assignments are compiled from paper and pencil work, to reading to video lessons.
There are constant technology issues with uploading videos for my scholars. I must toggle among several software programs to be able to record my computer screen, show a digital whiteboard, record my voice and integrate pictures. Sometimes the videos are not easily uploaded into the digital classroom or into the individual student’s computer.
My scholars meet as a whole class in a live Google Classroom chat each week so we can see each other’s faces and say hi to friends from a distance. We miss each other greatly and cannot wait for the pandemic to be over. My students are working hard from a distance and deserve the best video lessons I can create.
My Project
During these unique times, I am working hard to give my students high quality lessons that they can access at any time. My students are extremely hard workers and continue to work hard even though they are not in the classroom with me. Several students must manage their schoolwork around parent work schedules and sibling schoolwork schedules so it is imperative for me to create video lessons that can be accessed at any time.
This project will provide me with the technology to record a lesson with sound without having to use additional software or download multiple media files.
I will be able to easily adjust the camera from me to a document to a digital whiteboard without having to be an expert cameraman.
When we return to the classroom, I will be able to continue using this technology to display video and a digital whiteboard. The document camera I requested can also be connected directly to my Epson projector without requiring my laptop or program software. This allows for more flexibility and less cords and clutter in the classroom. The document camera has a high-quality camera lens and several access ports for connecting any additional technology needed to be displayed on a larger screen in the classroom. This project is a BIG ASK and a BIG GIVE to educating our future. Please help in making Learning From Afar and more productive task.
