Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My kindergarten class is full of inquisitive, eager, and energetic learners who come to class every day ready to learn. Our school is a Title I school, and all students receive free lunch.

The ambition and drive that my kindergarten scholars possess are amazing for any teacher who interacts with them!

The impulse to ask vital questions, to critically investigate, to anxiously explore, to meticulously examine, and to carefully experiment comes from a burning curiosity about the world in which we live in and a strong desire to understand things we experience daily by any means necessary!

My Project

This year, our learning has completely transformed! Gone are the days when we gather each day in our classrooms and engage in a variety of face to face learning experiences.

We are now forced to sit at our computers to teach and learn..

from a distance. My class needs gift cards from Teachers Pay Teachers to acquire resources, such as Google slides, interactive flipcharts and interactive worksheets to help use in our daily instruction.

Even though learning and teaching has changed dramatically, it doesn't stop! We have to use what we have to learn what we can.
