Help me give my students home learning tools such as whiteboards, unifix cubes, dice and sidewalk chalk for working on activities and virtual learning.
My students are an amazingly diverse class of Kindergartners! A day in our classroom is fast-paced, exciting, hands-on and engaging! My students are low income, and in the classroom, I try to give them a diverse range of experiences to engage them in the learning each day!
The students in my class are eager to learn, they are BRAVE and they have a passion for things that peak their interest!
They are learning to be a community of learners! They come from many diverse backgrounds.
Our school is an urban school with a high low-income percentage of students. Our school focuses a portion of each day on project-based learning where students choose a class focus of what they want to learn about and study this area in depth.
My Project
My students lack materials and resources at home for me to engage with them in virtual learning. The materials we would typically use in the classroom like whiteboards, dice, and cubes I would like for them to have during class virtual meetings.
During this unprecedented time of learning it has become apparent that I need to do something more to reach my students.
I would like to create kits with chalk, cubes and dice to take to my students to help engage with them more during learning times as well as for them to use with their families while working on assigned work.
