My Students

Most of my students come from low income homes. Although some have learning and emotional disabilities, they all come to school every day happy and eager to learn. Read aloud time is one of their favorites. They also love exploring through interactive projects that are incorporated into their centers, which allows them to work collaboratively, and allows them to take control of their own learning. I feel it is my job to make sure that each of my students knows that when they come to school they are safe, loved, that they are smart, important and that they matter and their willingness to learn matters.

My Project

A majority of my students are visual learners, so this Epson DC 07 Document Camera is a desperately needed resource tool. Now that all schools in my state are closed down, because of the current pandemic; teachers such as myself are forced to teach from home. This document camera will give my students the ability to see and following along with what I am writing during lessons. It is crucial that my students are able to follow along as I am teaching without being able to do so, many of my students will struggle.

My students are finishing school from home through Distance Learning due to COVID-19 and this document camera will play a crucial part in their education.
