My Students

My class is based on movement. Our goal in PE is to keep moving as we learn to become active learners for a lifetime.

I am in my ninth year of teaching.

As an elementary physical education teacher, I am constantly looking for ways to improve my teaching through professional development. My students are constantly asking for new ways to be active and I do all I can to engage and fulfill that desire.

My Project

I am asking for the registration fee to the 2015 National Physical Education Institute (NPEI). The institute is designed to provide the best tools in technology, instructional tools, and research based curriculum from some of the world's best physical education teachers. This year's conference is focused on how technology can enhance assessment practices in all grades. Upon learning from these great teachers, I will be better able to differentiate and assess my students throughout my class. It will allow me to engage more directly with the students in each lesson during PE.

This project will help me become a better teacher in order to more effectively engage my students throughout their learning in PE.

My students, as all students do, deserve the best. And I want to be the best teacher I can be for my students.
