This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are elementary students in a special education resource classroom. They are kindergarten-second graders who are eager to learn. My students do struggle with reading and math. They are several grade levels behind. They always enjoy learning in different ways. I try to make that happen but it can be difficult at times with making sure we have the items needed in order for this to happen. They love all kinds of hands on activities involving math and reading. I'm a teacher in a low income/high poverty school district. I love working with my students and making sure we have items in our classroom to keep them engaged.
Since they do function below grade level, we could really use your help to make sure we get the materials needed to continue to make their learning more engaging.
The students at my school receive 100% free lunch.
My Project
I am requesting for items that will help my special education students to learning skills that they need. The laminating pouches and copy paper will be used for printing resources such as centers because my student love hands on resources.
My students need a variety of resources/ materials to focus on the skills they have difficulty learning.
We need items to store the items I print and make so the poly envelopes will be awesome. The sheet protectors will be helpful for the items stored in notebook binders to be preserved from damage. The velcro will help with help with creating centers for various skills and a way of keeping up with the pieces used for the activities.
