My Students

I teach English as a Second Language to Kindergartners, 1st and 2nd graders at CES. We like to integrate fun activities to help our students become better speakers and learners of the English language.

Our students love to learn; However learning to speak another language is often difficult and sometimes frustrating.

Our hope is that by providing a warm and comforting environment for them they feel more at ease to practice the English language.

My Project

Mrs. N. and I share a room and teach different age groups of ESL students. Sometimes we teach lessons together with our groups. This includes using our Smartboard. Unfortunately, our students don't have a rug to sit on so it can be uncomfortable and cold sitting on the floor.

This rug will give them a comfy place to listen to our lesson, write in their notebooks and practice speaking and reading to each other.

We can't wait to surprise them with our new carpet to give them a change in scenery and provide a warm and inviting place for them to explore the English language.
