Help me give my students a classroom outside of the classroom walls. Please provide the means to connect with my students virtually and maintain the give and take of classrooms discussions and explorations as they learn remotely.
The curriculum I teach meets an accelerated criteria designed to challenge and inspire the best student minds our school has to offer. They are inquisitive about the world around them and have a deep love for learning. These students are tomorrow's scientists, doctors, lawyers, and leaders. The school I teach at is very rural and does not provide a lot of exposure to these students of the possibilities their potential could meet. The entire school system receives free lunch due to the poverty of the area. There is not much funding for projects that would challenge and stimulate the minds of these very deserving students.
I really want to continue to provide this accelerated content to my students but I need your help.
The impact of the events of the last month has forced instruction to occur outside of the the classroom walls. I need to be able to actively engage and communicate with my students. Please consider providing the webcam necessary for this connection to take place. These students deserve for as much normalcy to occur as possible in an ever changing and sometimes frightening world. Help me bring the classroom to them virtually.
My Project
The webcam I am requesitng will allow me to teach my students remotely and still maintain the give and take of a classroom discussion by allowing more than one student to participate at a time. It will give my students a virtual classroom when a physical classroom is not available. I will be able to not only connect with students during school closures but also doing student absences to keep learning continuing so that no child fails behind. It will provide the security of classroom normalcy in a world that may not be so normal.
