Learning Data Science to make Science teaching more effective.
I need to learn Data Science to make better strategies and increase students' performance in Science subjects.
The money will cover the training fee and travel costs.
Education is the driving force behind this community and I teach science to bring opportunities in the lives of my students. My classroom is a place of learning by innovation, collaboration and using the interdisciplinary skills. My students come from all backgrounds such as Hispanic, Black, Native-American, Asian and White. These students are inspired by the teachers as their role models. I have a firm belief that if I can inspire my students, then they will learn. Most of the students want to learn a lot of things such as computer sciences and data sciences but as my school is in the middle of nowhere, the learning opportunities are limited. I want to teach them through the newest ways possible and for that, I must be prepared. For training, money is not available in my community. And, as my school is far from any city, it requires a lot of money and time to learn anything. I want to learn so that my students, as well as my colleagues, can learn from me and together we can make a better school.

Data analysis is a part of any Science subject.
By using Data Science in any subject especially in Science subjects, you can achieve many goals.
The tools from data science can help in the performance assessment, data-driven strategies and using data to find the areas of weakness and then work to improve them. Science is a hard subject and keeping students motivated needs strategies which focus on the areas where students struggle. After finding these hard areas, we can make strategies or use new technology or new methods to see that learning becomes fun, easier and students improve on those weak areas to show better performance.
Whether it is a data on weather in Environmental Science, on pH values in Chemistry, on Velocity and Acceleration in Physics or population of bats in a cave in Biology, its analysis plays a very important role in understanding the role of various factors. And I am sure that this workshop will help me in learning the Data Science and using it in my Science subjects to promote student learning and using new methods and strategies to improve the teaching methods.
