My third graders come from Charleston, West Virginia. They enter my classroom every day full of curiosity, an eager to learn. A lot of my students come from low income families, but are all given an equal opportunity to learn in my classroom. For most students, school is their safe place and the place they feel "at home". I want my students to know they are loved and valued. I strive to help each of my students reach their full potential, and chase after their dreams.
My Project
It is proven that not everyone learns the same. My students all have unique needs. These flexible seating options will help them become comfortable and create a positive learning environment. Students love to have choices and this allows them to choose a place in the classroom where they will learn best. It will allow for a calm, productive and relaxed environment. Some of the materials will create cozy reading and learning areas around the classroom. The areas set up will allow for my students to work together and collaborate. My hope is to create a positive learning environment that makes my students want to get up and come to school each and every morning.
