Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I remember when science and math used to consist of putting a pencil to paper. Now students are faced with a new way of learning, and it is essential to have access to new technology in order to keep up with the demands of literacy and critical thinking in education.
My students are eager and hardworking learners that are part of the AVID program for college preparation.
Although they face daily challenges in their surroundings they are eager to learn something new every day. They come to school ready to meet the challenges I give them. They receive instruction in the different areas of math, science, and literacy.
My Project
This Dell 27' LED computer monitor will enhance my students’ learning by giving them the ability to utilize our computers and devices with a new monitor. We have an old monitor that is no longer compatible with the graphics and software that we use for our classroom presentations. With this new monitor, we will be able to take advantage of the full instructional potential of our on line learning programs. Students will also have a bigger screen which will facilitate group work because more than one student will be able to have a clear view of whatever project or presentation they are currently working on.
